As a traditional medical institution, Taipei Veterans General Hospital faced a gap between its innovative efforts in XR-based medical education and its outdated online presence. Their existing website lacked the modern design and functionality necessary to reflect their advancements in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, and Artificial Intelligence. This limited their ability to connect with an international audience and effectively promote the transformative potential of their XR technologies in clinical training. To address this, they required a user-friendly, visually appealing platform that could manage content efficiently while showcasing their pioneering initiatives to a global audience.
To address these challenges, we reimagined the hospital’s online presence with a focus on modernity, engagement, and functionality. The content was strategically organized into interconnected themes to spotlight the transformative applications of XR technologies in medical training. Each category—VR, AR, MR, and AI—was distinctly designed to enhance clarity and audience engagement while showcasing the hospital’s innovations.
We implemented key features to enhance the learning experience. Collaborative training tools with AI-powered real-time scoring and feedback were integrated to elevate virtual learning sessions. Personalized rehabilitation exercises using AR tailored for patient recovery demonstrated the hospital’s commitment to holistic care.
