

VanMoof, a Dutch e-bike brand with multiple design awards, turned to Tenten to rebuild its digital presence from the ground up. The company raised €19M and now sells 100% of bikes through digital channels, making a seamless online experience essential to their business model.

Tenten delivered everything: development, AWS deployment, UX, UI, and tech stack across six languages with a client CMS for easy content management. The centerpiece is a custom bike configurator that lets buyers find their perfect match while giving VanMoof real-time demand insights for product planning.

The site and campaign generated €1M in profit within the first month and earned VanMoof the title "The Tesla of e-bikes." Tenten's served as VanMoof's digital strategy partner for over three years, transforming the brand into a fully digital e-commerce operation reaching buyers worldwide.

During our design process of the VanMoof website, we wanted the website to be fun to shop at yet functional, and all the info is presented in a way that is easy to understand. We think that it is important to the payment process of our users. Thus we studied the user experiences to make a payment page where users do not need to jump to another page to sign up and check out. By decreasing the complexity of checkout, users can spend less time on this step and make the preorder phase more user-friendly.
