FET, Taiwan’s leading telecom provider, contacted our team to redesign their mobile application which had 600,000 monthly active users in late 2019. The goal was to build a platform that allowed users to enjoy a variety of services from their telecom app, from entertainment and gaming to food and shopping.

The process

Working with the leadership team at FarEastone Telecom, we ran a series of workshops to set business goals and discuss how the new app will help achieve their vision.

As FET users ourselves, we had rich insight into how to improve the accessibility of the design and information architecture and deliver value to new and existing users around Taiwan.

The solution

With "the right information at the right time" as our guiding principle, we were mindful about creating a powerful, multifunctional app without overwhelming users.

Our teams collaborated to define new features that would bring additional value to FET users and differentiate the carrier from its competitors. We created the Life Circle section which allows users to redeem points in exchange for food and entertainment rewards.
