Productivity Skills

Productivity Skills are the first stop for most users after installing OpenClaw. These Skills let your AI Agent directly manage email, calendars, notes, and task management tools, automating repetitive daily work.

#3 — GOG (General Organizer for Grit)

PropertyDetails
Rank#3 / 50
CategoryProductivity
Total Score68 / 80
Maturity🟢 Stable
Official/CommunityOfficial
Installationclawhub install openclaw/gog
ClawHub DownloadsHighest (ranked #1 across all Skills)
Target UsersAll OpenClaw users

Feature Overview

GOG is the most downloaded Skill in the OpenClaw ecosystem. It provides a unified "organizer" interface that lets the Agent:

  • Automatically organize your files, notes, and bookmarks
  • Create and track to-do items and reminders
  • Aggregate information across tools (combining output from Gmail, Calendar, and other Skills)
  • Generate daily/weekly summary reports

Why It Matters

GOG is the "glue" Skill — it ties together the output from other Skills into a unified workflow. Without GOG, your Agent operates each tool in isolation; with GOG, the Agent proactively integrates and prioritizes your tasks.

Dependencies & Security

  • Dependencies: None — runs standalone with no external dependencies
  • Permissions Required: Filesystem read/write (restricted to working directory)
  • Security: Officially maintained, open-source code, SEC score 8/10
  • Alternatives: A Notion + Todoist combination can achieve similar results, but with less integration than GOG

#5 — Gmail

PropertyDetails
Rank#5 / 50
CategoryProductivity
Total Score66 / 80
Maturity🟢 Stable
Official/CommunityOfficial (bundled)
InstallationBundled — no installation needed
Target UsersUsers who need email automation

Feature Overview

The Gmail Skill ships with OpenClaw core and provides full email management capabilities:

  • Read, search, and categorize your inbox
  • Compose and send emails (supports draft review mode)
  • Auto-reply to common email types
  • Attachment handling (upload/download/parse)

Configuration

# Gmail is a bundled Skill — just authorize it
openclaw auth google --scope gmail

# Verify authorization
openclaw skill status gmail
Security Considerations

The Gmail Skill can read all of your email content. Recommendations:

  • Enable draft-only mode (openclaw config set gmail.send_mode draft) so the Agent can only create drafts
  • Set a sender whitelist to limit auto-reply recipients
  • Regularly review app access permissions in your Google security settings

Dependencies & Security

  • Dependencies: Google OAuth 2.0 authorization
  • Permissions Required: gmail.readonly + gmail.send (can be reduced to gmail.readonly)
  • Security: SEC 7/10 — can access sensitive email content; enable draft-only mode recommended
  • Alternatives: AgentMail (#24) provides an isolated Agent-specific mailbox

#6 — Calendar
